Origin of Corona

The origin of the coronavirus is very confusing. Many say it was because a man in China ate a bat. Others say that it was created in a Wuhan Lab and that it accidentally got out. Another theory is that pangolins carry the coronavirus and it spreads from them to humans.

The coronavirus is a virus like the flu or cold but since we don’t have a way of treatment and it's new, our body has no antibodies to defend against it. This disease has spread throughout the world very quickly, its spread through coughing and sneezing. When people cough or sneeze their spit travels throughout the air for minutes before going away. So when you’re near someone who has the virus and they cough or sneeze, the virus travels in the air for minutes infecting people around them. This disease really affects people above the age of 65 and people who have an illness already affecting them like asthma, heart disease, lung problems or any illness affecting the body. Many who have recovered from the virus have been able to re-contract the virus.

Treatment for the virus is a slow process. The virus mutates and changes into

something else all the time, so trying to create a vaccine is very hard. The CDC states that you should isolate to slow the spread of the virus and to stay 6 feet apart. Many companies are trying to create a vaccine but they say it could take years to create one. So for now they are trying to give out treatments. Which have worked with people who were infected recovering from it.

The origin of the virus is very foggy though. With China not wanting the world to look into the origin, many believe that it's China's fault. The media in China has stopped covering the virus, universities are taking down their research into it, and the government is cracking down on people talking about the virus. This raises many questions on if it is China’s fault that the virus has spread and started. But other sources say it came from a bat and others say from pangolins. So the real origin of the coronavirus is unknown at the moment. We will just have to see what happens in the near future with the world and the fight against the coronavirus.
